Intro: Suria, the Hidden Flame of Arabia, is a powerful Djinn concealing her true nature from her husband and his Bedouin tribe, births A'Isha, one of thirteen prophesied children destined to wield extraordinary powers against the encroaching darkness. The tribe, devout Muslims, view Djinn as malevolent tempters, forcing Suria to hide her magic though she loved her inner light and the joy and hope it brought to her family and tribe when she was a child. Torn between love for her newborn child and the fear of the Shadow Lord’s dark Djinn, Suria makes another a heart-wrenching sacrifice. With her dying breath, she binds her own spirit to A'Isha's "eternal light," shielding the child's burgeoning abilities from the Shadow Lord and his demonic legions, as well as the tribesmen she will be raised by. This act not only protects A'Isha from immediate danger but also serves as a spiritual anchor, guiding and subtly influencing her path. Suria understands that A'Isha, would inherit her rebellious spirit and chafe against the constraints placed upon women within the faith and the tribe. By sacrificing her own chance of entering the afterlife, Suria empowers her daughter to not only embrace her destiny but also to challenge the very foundations of her world by rebelling against the rigid expectations placed upon women within the faith, ultimately becoming a beacon of hope against the rising tide of shadow. Suria’s legacy is one of hidden strength, unwavering love, and the enduring power of a mother’s sacrifice. Character compilation by Felipe Amorim and LaToya Smith |
