Anvaya means family!
Enabling... Empowering... Succeeding!
Enabling... Empowering... Succeeding!
Anvaya Feats is a woman-owned nonprofit that provides a diverse range of services to clients, including digital art, game design, music production, social media campaign advice, web design, wearables and knitwear. We do a lot of different things—a diversity of services and products which reflect the diversity of our team members. "Anvaya" is a Sanskrit word that means family, and "feats" means to overcome obstacles. Family captures the sort of community our nonprofit seeks to create. We employ people with disabilities, or who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and we support them in reaching their full potential, giving them the skills and experience they need to be successful in the future. We’re not just another non-profit that says that they care about diversity and inclusion to sound good; we truly care about it, so we make it happen.

Our organization emerged from Jeff Smith’s (now 900,000+ word) epic tale, also called Anvaya Feats, which tells the story of a group of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds overcoming immense obstacles on the path to success. Inspired by the story, LaToya Smith subsequently founded a non-profit that sought to turn what was a fictional story into a reality.
Now, we have a comic series, a Braille booklets, a kids’ edition, and much more. We hope that people might see something they can relate to in the characters of the Anvaya Feats story. After all, it’s not just a story anymore, but an inspiration to us, and we hope to support more and more disadvantaged people everywhere in achieving their goals, whatever those might be. |
